Veer Marketplace is a division of Veer.com and part of the Corbis group. Corbis are an international online resource for advertising, maketing and media professionals. They traditionally serve the macrostock community. Corbis attempted to break into the microstock industry with Snapvillage.com, but that attempt was not successful and they decided to close the site. Corbis then opened up a section in Veer.com called Veer Marketplace. Veer.com specializes in photography, illustration, type faces and unique merchandise. Veer Marketplace is where you can find their microstock photography along with their RM and RF images. Buyers can search by image license and price, this allows them to see microstock and more traditional stock images in the same search. Buyers can then easily compare usage rights and prices.

I find the quality of photography on Veer to be very good, the submission and review processes are efficient, helpful and fair. I have sent a total of 650 images to them with 50 rejected mainly for “too many images of the same series”. Their respectable commission structure and slightly higher image prices mean that on average commission per sale Veer Marketplace ranks very highly against that of other microstock agencies. Veer tries to engage with its users, both contributors and customers are invited to give continual feedback in order to improve Veer as a creative resource. They are innovative, fresh, exciting and well worth signing up to.
