Depositphotos
Warren | No Comments »Depositphotos is another new and exciting microstock agency. As part of their initial drive for images they offered an incentive scheme where they paid photographers $0.20 per accepted image. This incentive scheme was quickly withdrawn and now after a relatively short time they have a portfolio of nearly 1 500 000 images. In order to attract buyers they offer a great 14 day trial subscription where the customer is allowed to download 10 images for free. Their image prices are very reasonable and should attract a fair amount of business.

I have not yet submitted my portfolio to Depositphotos, I am going to send them a selection of images and track their performance before committing myself fully. I do however have good expectations about the success of this new agency. They have a great commission structure for contributors, one of the best in the market. If sales numbers look good, then I don’t see any reason why not to include them in my microstock agency list. I will do a more extensive review once I have some data to report on and also once Depositphotos has become more established in the industry.
One to watch for the future.
