Microstockhelper is a website offering you an inside guide into the microstock photography industry. Through this website, you are be able to see my start up experience and track my progress in the microstock industry with monthly in depth sales statistics and reporting. I will be sharing various tools, tips, reviews and statistics to help you kickstart your microstock career .This unique look from the photographer’s point of view will highlight some of the problems faced, lessons learned and obstacles overcame. I would like Microstockhelper to become a regular source of fresh information that will benefit both the amateur and professional photographer interested in selling their images on microstock websites.

My name is Warren Goldswain, I am the author of this website and a young South African photographer making his way up the microstock ladder. I grew  up surrounded by creative images taken by my father Geoff Goldswain. This however did not lead me directly to a photographic career. In tertiary studies I focused on marketing and business management which led me to 5 years experience in sales and advertising roles. Through travel and work in the advertising industry I began to develop the passion for photography that I show today. After trying my hand at some freelance work for a few retailers in South Africa, I decided to make photography my full time career. I started my microstock career in May 2009 and have been involved ever since. I have recently made a move to Cape Town and opened up a photographic studio just 3km from the waterfront!

Any reviews or articles I post on this website is a true reflection of my experience and unbiased views regarding the microstock industry and are in no way funded or commissioned by anyone. I was fortunate enough to learn from some photographers willing to share their information and insights into not only photography, but also microstock photography. Through this website I not only want to pass this information on, but I also hope to make some income via affiliate programs by referring new photographers to microstock agencies.
