Budget home studio

I am miles away from anything I find familiar. I am ready to start shooting, but I don’t have a decent area in my home/apartment to do any stock type photographs and I don’t know of any cheap studios that I can use. I need to build myself a home studio and I need to do it as cheaply as possible because I am on a very tight budget.

After looking through cyberspace for some ideas on how to build my knock-together studio I came across an amazing article detailing exactly what I needed. It was cheap, simple and DIY! AWESOME! The guys at www.diyphotography.net have many helpful articles that can lead you in the right direction. Click the sketch to see their article on this DIY home studio backdrop.

I went around Jakarta a couple of days searching for the parts I needed to complete the project. After a lot of strange looks, miscommunication, broken English and swindling merchants I emerged with the materials I needed to get my structure up. This cost me very little and I was impressed at how quickly it all came together. Finally I can start to think about studio photography. Next problem – lighting.
